Ivahri Golden Thorpe

In September 2000, in the first few days of the Sydney Olympic Games, was born a colt we hope will achieve great success in coming years.
He is named after the great Australian swimmer Ian Thorpe, who was in the pool for the 400m Mens Freestyle Final whilst the Moon Kabala daughter, Nijinska, was giving birth to her son. The human Thorpey went on to win that race and become a legend of world swimming. The birth of this 4 legged Thorpey was just as memorable for us.
Ivahri Golden Thorpe is the spitting image of his sire Naazim. He has the looks, he has the conformation, and he has the temperament and character that made Naazim the success he was.
His breeding is well proven... the cross of the Nazeer influence through both Aswan and Hadban Enzahi, combined with the Silver Fire influence through his intensely Silver bred dam Nijinska. This is a cross that has been proven in the show ring (where his "uncle" Naaddel was New Zealand Champion, and his other "uncle" Naasser won numerous Australian awards), It is also proven on the endurance track with both Naasser and Naaddel having sired many successful endurance horses.
Ivahri Golden Thorpe's breeding career has only just started. He will not be over-used. We have no desire to see large quantities of foals sired by Thorpey. We do aim for QUALITY offspring by him, and believe that the quality of our mares will provide him with the partners he needs to prove our faith in him.
Ivahri Golden Thorpe has NOT been SCID tested nor has he sired a SCID affected foal.
