The mare Lac-La-Biche Lady Rose continues to be our stud's greatest influence through her daughters. To date "Rosey" has given us 100% fillies. The photos below demonstrate the quality of daughters Rosey has given us.

The first daughter, Ivahri Silver Rose, aka "Rhiannon" is a very precious example of a mare from the Crabbet Silver family. Rhiannon's sire was the stallion Heritage Silver Rain (Ivan x Silver Sequin). We believe he has influenced Rhiannon significantly in looks while Rosey has passed on her exceptional movement. Rhiannon has one of the best trots of any Arabian we have ever seen. She demonstrated this at the 2000 Melbourne Crabbet Convention where she defeated a large (well over 20), high quality field of Arabians to win the Classic Trot class.

For those interested in strains, like all the Rosey progeny Ivahri Silver Rose is a Hamdani Simrieh (tail female tracing to Silver Fire).

Ivahri Gold and Silver with her owner Laeli Hogan photographed at the Bungendore Bush Bash 80km ride on Sunday 11th March 2007. They successfully completed the 80km ride in hot conditions.

While we wouldn't normally use a photo of a horse taken from behind, the great Talisman Rose Bahri (Beau Bahri x Rose Quartz*) is a very special exception. In this famous photo Talisman Rose Bahri & his rider, the immortal Wayne Judge, demonstrate how an Arabian can perform a sliding stop that would impress even the most anti-Arabian Western enthusiast.

Woodlyn Caprice, dam of Lac-la-Biche Lady Rose is the Old Lady of our stud. Still very much alive and a sprightly 30, she has been an important influence on our young mares. Her sire was the Lysander son Woodlyn Royal Gem, and she was out of the Ivan daughter Arabian Park Silver Sand. She is probably the last of the old Woodlyn girls- and this after surviving extreme neglect & starvation as a young mare before being saved by Lucy Thomson. Her life story has the makings of a movie...
