The Progeny of Salah El Asaad

So why would you want to breed with Salah El Asaad?

The word "proven" is so often used and abused by stallion owners but in Salah El Asaad's case we will say that for a stallion that has not had a huge number of foals, there is a healthy number that have gone on to some success.

In the past his Arabian Pony daughter, Salah Sugar N Spice, has been an Australian Champion. His pure Arabian son, Charadia Kermit, has been an Australian Champion Top 10 award winner.

Ancient history you say?

The first foal we bred by him, Ivahri Gold And Silver, is now out on the endurance track. She is still on her "P" plates admittedly but hasn't failed to finish so far. Her latest effort, 4th Heavyweight (out of 19), at the Coolamon 80km ride reflects the skill and patience of her owner & rider Laeli Hogan, and this mare's ability. It is a great partnership.

In recent years he has sired two foals from outside mares, first the filly Jewelle bred by Rachel Morsink.

Sadly Jewelle died in a paddock accident... an awful loss to the breed.

The following year saw the colt Nashama Aslaan bred...

So is he a prolific sire? Well no, he isn't ever going to sire many foals.

Is he a consistant sire? Well yes he is, his foals are consistantly superior to their parents. His balanced pedigree combining beauty and sound conformation are consistantly passed on to his offspring.

And you can't ask for more than that!
